Foster Cat Chronicles

This is the cat that got me to start writing a blog. Oakie was our first foster cat, and she won us over with meow. She spent the first day hiding under the stairs, and many a times I thought she was missing. After a few days she started to come out and sit in our lap as soon as she saw one! She had an URI and at first wasn't treated (it wasn't that bad.) We were able to take her back home after her first vet check up for another 10 days. During that time she came out of her shell and was very loving, fun, and oh so sweet. Today when I went back to the shelter to drop off Princess Beyonce (Amy) and Rusty (Willis) I stopped by to see if Oakie was still available.

I went to the cat room, and saw Ms. Oakie (Jo-Paws) and she came right over to the cage and let out the sweetest meow. Of course I started to cry, and she took her little paw on my nose. The poor volunteer probably thought that I was nuts.
