Oh Kittens!

I think that having a kitten in the house has been good for Saffron. He's pretty playful, and LOVES, LOVES, LOVES the Lazar pointer. She has slowly, slowly started to warm up to him, but doesn't want to be caught interacting with him. I came home today to them laying together, but when Saffron realized I was home, FORGET IT! She was off and hating him again.

I don't know what kind of home would be good for Saffron. She's such an interesting cat. She loves to eat, sleep, play, and have her head scratched. She doesn't like dogs, and she was so upset at the sight of our neighbor's dog that I don't think she'd be good with cats. She likes to sleep at the foot of our bed, but doesn't like the idea of being picked up. She also doesn't like sitting on your lap. She's such a love, and I think would be an awesome cat for a quiet couple or an older person who is okay with not having a snuggler.

Aladdin (Rocky) is a doll. He does get into EVERYTHING. He seems to only do it when we're home since nothing is out of place when I get home from work. He loves attention, and being snuggled.

As always we'll miss these guys. They go back on Friday.

Saffron anti Aladdin

Today we brought home Aladdin, a HUGE, beautiful, super sweet tiger stripped kitten. He is six months old, and beautiful!  He and Saffron have met briefly, but it was long enough for her to decide:

"I HATZ the Kitty!"

We'll see how it goes as we slowly introduce them, but Saffron actually growls when she hears him. I would describe Saffron as a good cat for someone who doesn't want a lap cat. She likes to play and run around the house. She LOVES her food and will sit by her bowl and cry if it's empty. She could afford to miss a meal or 10, but we of course would never do that. She is so beautiful, and curious. She loves to have her head petted, and will sort of pin her ears before she takes off for a sudden run. She reminds us of the Grinch in a cute way!

Tonight we felt a spot on her butt that my husband seems to think is matted hair. She was NOT happy while we tried to look at it, so we are giving her a break before we drive her nuts again.

Saffron - Day 7

Happy One Week Saffron!

Yesterday Ms. Saffron got to experience her first party at our house! My friend and I had a little party for our birthdays and we had people over. She did great! I was worried that she would hide out, but she was very sweet and really involved.

I can tell today that she feels better, she is running around more and playing. She IS trying to escape into the yard. She tried to get out yesterday and I screamed my head off. I was so worried.

She does love her naps though!
